We performed chimerism analyses of 5 SCD patients who developed hematologic malignancies after non-myeloablative allogenic hematopoietic cell transplant. Sorted peripheral blood or bone marrow cells representing mature cell lineages or leukemic blasts were collected, DNA was extracted, and chimerism analysis was done by PCR amplification of polymorphic short tandem repeats.
